Career Video Surprises

I watched 3 videos. One on Interior Design told me that most employers require employees to have at least and Associates degree in Art and Design. The other video i watched was on Musicians and Singer. From this video, I learned that musicians need to consider having a day job to support themselves while getting started. The last video i watched was on Writers and Authors. I learned that no matter what the writers write, it is always fine-tuned by an editor before being published.

Careers

The career tests pointed me towards the Arts and Communication career cluster. From there, I researched different careers in this field and discovered that Interior Design, which is my planned career, is a part of it. I would like to go to Miami University and study Interior Design just like my mom. I also researched Archeology because I have always been intrigued by this field. Another school for Interior Design that i researched was Western Michigan University.
The 2 careers I researched were under the Arts and Communications and Natural Sciences clusters, my top 2 from the surveys.
My preferred career cluster is Arts and Communications. I love to sing, perform, and play musical instruments, so this cluster is the right choice for me.
The main selling point of Interior Design is that i get to help people and myself design the places where we live our lives.
I chose Miami University because my mom went there and I have heard it is a really good school. I chose Western Michigan University because it is a state school that offers an Interior Design course.
I do see myself being an Interior Designer because my mom and I are a lot alike and everything she designs turns out good.

My Movie Project

My favorite part about the project was getting to redo one of my favorite children's books that my mom used to read to me; it brought back some fun memories. The thing i liked best about my movie was the simplicity of it and the picture of me and the "old lady saying 'hush'". The most challenging part of making my movie was searching for a song and sound effects that would pertain to my movie. If i could change something about the project, I would probably ask people to include more sound because in some of the movies, I felt like sound would've completed the mood. Overall, I really liked the project and I think it taught me alot about how hard making an actual movie would be.

In 10 Years...

In the next ten years, I will be 25 years old and will be just finishing Post Grad Orthodontix School or have a Bachelor's degree in music, a graduate from Grand Valley State University. I will now be living either in Santa Barbara, CA or Grand Valley, MI. I plan to be married to be engaged to a very nice man and be married sometime in the next year or too. I will be in theatre productions or a choir in the local college or community. Hopefully i will making enough money to support myself and my family while upholding the career of my choice.

Another possible outcome for my life when i am 25 years old is a music teacher and a local school or music school teaching choir, guitar, piano, and voice lessons/classes. I would of course be living in the same places already mentioned.

My fantasy would be living in NYC in a penthouse and be famous for my amazing Broadway skills.
